All I really want to know is what really went down last night, since I have the distinct feeling, and by feeling, I mean it was basically confirmed by the tone of Feuilly's texts, that I have been lied to about events. Truly, I cannot believe the evening did not end with Enjolras and Grantaire making out in the corner, and that they did not "hang around the way they always do, nothing happened."

Really now, people. REALLY.

I was otherwise happily engaged, and preferred my activities to risking death, but a man MUST know things all the same. I am invested from a distance, so Enjolras does not kill me in the night, as he knows where I sleep, but I am nonetheless invested all the same.

Who can I pay and what will you tell me?

[ It was easy to assume things; but it was not so easy to forget them. Assumptions were what had gotten them into this trouble in the first place. Assumptions made by Courfeyrac, and then assumptions made by Enjolras himself, based on misinformation- and even perhaps lies.

But were they lies? Something was strange- so much was strange, to a point that he could not properly put his finger on what had changed or how between himself and the cynic. Only that it most certainly had, and now there seemed to be no going back. No matter how Enjolras approached this, he seemed at a loss. The only answer he had found thus far was anger, and this did not sooth him. It only made everything feel that much more complicated.

They had agreed that this would put an end to it. But what did that even mean? An end to- to what?

This was Courfeyrac's fault. If he had simply never said anything, none of this would have ever happened. Enjolras would have never confronted Grantaire- would have never stolen that kiss.

Thinking about the kiss made his face heat, and he scrubbed at it with his hand, trying to force it down. Grantaire was due to arrive at any moment; it would do no good for either of them for him to be a fool, flushing like a woman over nothing at all.

[Courf is a terrible person.]

This is simply a shout out to the best nurse ever. Leaving the game so that I could receive some much needed attention after my unfortunate demise from which I never really recovered and EVERYTHING. Combeferre, you are, as always quite amazing.

Shall we invest in a uniform for these occasions?

Enjolras, Grantaire? Have you two finished acting out your mutual unresolved sexual tensions to get to the decent bits yet? The world waits, and hopes.
